The terminology for "batch processing" and "batch" has been standardized in edoc archivelink and adapted to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations standard.

The software texts were changed based on the following definitions:

  • "Batch": designates the Microsoft service for all batch processing jobs to be executed (load balancing) in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations server infrastructure.

  • "Batch processing job": is a job that is executed on a single batch server and includes at least one batch processing task that is part of the job.

  • "Batch processing task": designates at least one task that is executed individually in a batch processing job. The tasks can have individual execution times.
