edoc D365 FO archivelink Version 2.7.0

We have implemented several new functions with this release:

You now have user roles at your disposal with which you can better control access to functions in edoc archivelink.

You can now also enter user names with up to 100 characters.

We have also fixed some bugs.

The following Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations versions are supported with this release:

  • Supported versions: 10.0.38, 10.0.39

  • Versions no longer supported: 10.0.37

New functions and enhancements

ID 12805: Increase the number of characters for a user name in the "Repository" data table

You can now go to edoc archivelink > Settings > Systems > Systems and enter 100 characters in the User name field in the Repository section.


ID 12897: Optimize version information and release notes and implement links to the software manuals

Under edoc archivelink > Requests > Version you will now find version information and links to the release notes and the software manual for users in the edoc Docs Center.


ID 12465: Extend user roles for edoc archivelink

You can now grant permissions based on roles.

For granting permissions in edoc archivelink a role concept has been implemented to restrict the access of employees to edoc archivelink permissions to employees. For assigning the team members there are three permission roles are available to the administrators: administrator and user.


ID 12794: Adapt check and behavior when changing the process table

If you make changes to the process table in the Indexing definition form, you will now receive a meaningful message that also indicates the effects of the changes.

Bug fixes and improvements

ID 12807: The connection string in the SharePoint configuration does not support the placeholders "[user]" and "[password]"

The connection string in the SharePoint configuration now supports the placeholders [user] and [password].


ID 12808: Document field cannot be added

You can now add document fields from a selected repository again.
