Tips for filtering, sorting and grouping data in tables

You can filter, sort and group any table or tabular overview for your purposes, e.g. in edoc workplace or in the financial monitor. There are a number of options that you can use depending on your preference.

To change the sort order, simply click on the column header. In addition, each column has its own menu, which you can open by pointing to the column in the table with the mouse and clicking on the three dots. To group, simply click on the corresponding entry. To filter the column, click on the filter symbol.

Change the column sequence with drag and drop

You can change the order of the columns by clicking on any column header, holding the left mouse button and positioning the column at the corresponding position in the table (release the mouse button).

Group by column content with drag and drop

You can make the table more compact by grouping the table content. Click on any column header, hold the left mouse button and drop the column onto the Drag column here to group field. The table is grouped according to this entry, e.g. company ID, so that you can focus on one company more easily.

Tip

If you prefer a more compact approach, the functions for columns and filters are also available at the edge of the table.
