System requirements for edoc archive service

The following system requirements apply for edoc archive service:

We provide you with our apps and services in several Linux-based containers. The interaction and operation of these containers is ensured by a single-node Kubernetes cluster.

Operating system and virtual machine for edoc platform (on-premises)

  • Ubuntu Server version 24.04 LTS (Long-Term-Support) with current service pack.

  • Virtual computer (virtual machine, VM).

Minimum requirement for the memory configuration and number of processor cores

  • CPU: at least 4 processor cores.

  • Memory: at least 12 GB RAM.

  • Hard disk space: at least 150 GB.

edoc software

  • edoc content services for the ECM systems SharePoint Online, d.velop documents (on-premises), d.velop documents (cloud)

  • edoc D365 BC archivelink: at least version 4.5.0 (in combination with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)

  • edoc NAV archivelink: at least version 4.3.0 (in combination with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 14)

  • edoc CMIS archivelink: the service is required for SAP S/4HANA and is currently (October 2025) still in the beta phase.

Supported ERP software

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: Only versions in accordance with Microsoft's Modern Lifecycle Policy are supported. The following conditions also apply to the installation:

    • OData web services are activated.

    • The NTLM requirements must be met for on-premises systems.

    • The Microsoft Entra ID requirements must be met for the cloud.

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV: version 2013 R2, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 14. The following conditions also apply to the installation:

    • SOAP web services are activated.

    • The NTLM requirements must be met.

  • SAP S/4HANA: only SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition or SAP Cloud ERP is supported. The following conditions also apply to the installation:

    • The requirements for the basic authentication method must be met.

ERP authentication methods

  • The following conditions apply to NTLM authentication:

    • NTLM is activated.

    • The port for the corresponding web services must be enabled.

    • A Windows service user must exist in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

  • The following conditions apply to Microsoft Entra ID authentication:

    • A Microsoft Entra ID application must be available and have write access permissions in the ERP system.

  • The following conditions apply for basic authentication (BasicAuth):

    • The communication user in SAP Cloud ERP must be assigned communication agreements for the respective business objects to which edoc archive service must have access.

  • Microsoft Edge (desktop, Chromium)

Our software tests are generally performed with current browser versions. We cannot guarantee full functionality for browser versions that were not yet available at the time of the software release.

It is generally recommended to always use the latest browser versions.
