Grant permissions for groups in edoc contract

You manage the user groups that are allowed to use edoc contract in Keycloak. The groups are then displayed in edoc contract in the administration under Manage users and groups.

The groups are updated automatically and regularly by Keycloak. If you have spontaneously added a group in Keycloak and it is not yet displayed in edoc contract, click on Update groups and users.

Things to know

You must activate at least one group. The group will also be available to you and your users as a recipient option in the drop-down lists in reminders and reminder templates.

Here's how

  1. Assign the following roles to users in Keycloak depending on their area of responsibility:

    1. Role eca-user: all users who are authorized to work with edoc contract and who are recipients of reminders.

    2. Role eca-admin: all users who have administrative tasks.

  2. Check the properties for the groups and users in Keycloak and add the missing information accordingly:

    1. If necessary, add the e-mail address for the users who are reminder recipients so that the reminders can be sent correctly.

    2. If required, add the corresponding users and their e-mail address to the groups that are reminder recipients.

  3. You open the edoc contract administration by clicking on Administration in the edoc workplace app drawer (9-dot menu) in the edoc contract section.

  4. Click on Manage users and groups.

  5. In the edoc contract administration, under the Enable or disable groups section, enable the appropriate groups.

Tip

If you have multiple groups that you want to activate with a single click, click Activate all groups.
