In this article, you will learn about the special features and characteristics of the Microsoft Azure Blob Storage (ID=abs) module in edoc content services.
Authentication method used in the "Microsoft Azure Blob Storage" module
The REST API supports authentication with the Open Authorization 2 protocol (OAuth2). You must create an API key in the Azure Portal.
No saving of document properties in the "Microsoft Azure Blob Storage" module
Saving document properties in the Microsoft Azure Blob Storage module has not been implemented in edoc content services. The module is used exclusively for file storage.
Save documents
When you upload a file to Azure Blob Storage using edoc content services, the resulting blob is given a unique ID as its name. The name of the uploaded file is saved in the blob's metadata so that the original file name is retained when the file is downloaded.
Categories in the "Microsoft Azure Blob Storage" module
You cannot save any document properties in the Microsoft Azure Blob Storage module, so there are no retrievable categories.
If you use the endpoint GET /Categories, only the category storage is returned. This category does not contain any properties.
