With this release, we have updated the MongoDB database to a newer version and implemented several new features. We have redesigned the file notes. In addition, as an administrator, you can now prevent a workflow from being completed for unprocessed duplicates. Since this release, your users can also search for people by name.
We have also fixed a few bugs.
New functions and enhancements
ID 19766: Optimize vertical text alignment in the file notes overview
The display of file notes has been optimized. The information in the Time and Name columns is now aligned to the top of each row. This optimization ensures that the UI elements and the note text are always at the same height so that the text alignment remains correct even for multi-line or longer file notes.
Visual optimization makes it easier and faster to organize your entries and helps you maintain a clear overview, even with a large number of entries.
ID 19761: Prevent a workflow from completing when a duplicate is detected using administrative configuration
If you have configured a duplicate check in edoc invoice under Settings > Capture form > Duplicate Check, you can combine the duplicate check with a mandatory field check.
The mandatory field check Duplicate Check completed under Settings > Capture form > Mandatory field check verifies, for all or for individual enabled workflow steps, whether your users have marked the detected duplicate as a duplicate. Only then can users complete the respective workflow step.
ID 19759: Implement a search function in the fields for people's names in edoc invoice
The process for selecting people in workflows has been improved. Recipients can now be found quickly using a search function. This speeds up the processing of tasks and approvals, especially in organizations with many users.
ID 19661: Update the MongoDB database to version 8.2
The MongoDB database used in edoc invoice has been updated from version 3 to version 8.2. Thus, you now benefit from a modern, more powerful, and more secure database platform.
ID20064: Update the MySQL database to version 8.0

Bug fixes and improvements
Normal ID 19805: Approval policies for cost centers are not synchronized ("422 Unprocessable Content")
If you have entered values for an invoice category in a company’s administration under Settings > Capture form > Cost center managers > Responsible persons and approval amounts, you can use Synchronize policies” to transfer the values from the selected invoice category to the other invoice category.
The values for the selected invoice category are now being synchronized correctly again. In addition, the edoc invoice administration guide has been updated to provide more detailed information about this topic.
Normal ID 19739: Selected text sometimes loses its highlighting
If you had selected text in account assignment templates, the selection might have been lost as soon as you selected the text to copy. As a result, functions such as copy and paste could only be used to a limited extent.
If you now select the highlighted text, it will remain reliably highlighted, allowing you to easily copy the content from account assignment templates.
Normal ID 19548: Vendor search loads too much data (Performance Issues)
The performance issues in the capture form when searching for a vendor in the Vendor name field have been resolved.
Normal ID 19890: Task notifications are being sent even though the setting has been disabled
Notifications for tasks in edoc workplace are now handled by default according to the settings specified in the user's notification settings.
Normal ID 20126: Header field with a negative tax amount cannot be saved
It is now possible once again to process documents with negative tax amounts. You can now save and continue processing invoices that include credit memo portions, returns, or correction items. The check for invalid negative tax rates remains in place, while business-wise correct negative tax amounts are supported.
