From February 2026 on, we will be introducing new, clear and standardized names for our release channels and the associated releases and versions.
In edoc system control you will now find new names for our different release channels.
Brief overview of the release channels
Until now, you could obtain edoc software products provided on edoc platform monthly in the QA release channel and quarterly in the Current release channel in edoc system control. The build number then identifies the released software version.
The following changes will now apply from February 2026, with the build number continuing to uniquely identify the released software version.
The release channels based on edoc platform have been renamed edoc system control: The QA channel is now called the Monthly channel and the Current channel is now called the Quarterly channel.
Regular releases

Release channel Monthly: We are talking about "Release Monthly 2026/02" for a release in February 2026.

Release channel Quarterly: For a release in 2026 for quarter 1, we are talking about "Release Quarterly 2026/Q1".
Hotfix releases

Release channel Monthly: We are talking about the "Hotfix release Monthly 2026/02.1" for the first hotfix of the Monthly release of February 2026.

Release channel Quarterly: We are talking about the "Hotfix Release Quarterly 2026/Q1.1" for the first hotfix of the release in Q1 2026.
