How do I activate or deactivate logging for a batch processing job?

By default, logging is deactivated for a batch processing job in edoc D365 FO archivelink. However, you can activate the logging of details for bulk archiving jobs and reindexing jobs at any time.

You can find the Set logging option at edoc archivelink > Parameter > Batch processing job.

If an error occurs, you can use the log to determine why batch processing jobs are not being executed or why no results are being returned.

The following data is also recorded in the log, including under "Message details (information log):

  • Number of records with the table ID

  • Date and time

To view the log for a batch processing job, follow these steps:

  1. Go to edoc archivelink > Inquiries > Batch jobs.

  2. In the table overview, select the batch processing job whose message details you want to review.

  3. Click on Batch job history in the menu.

  4. Under Overview, sort the End date/time column in descending order.

  5. Click on Logs in the menu and select an option, e.g. Warning or Error.

  6. Click on Message details in the message to view the log.
