You can create a backup of your ECM system configurations at any time by exporting and re-importing an existing system configuration. When you export an existing ECM system configuration, you export the connection configurations, document fields, document types and also the indexing setup.
You can use the backup file EDD3OSystemParm.xml for the following purposes:

Save the backup file to any storage location.

Import the backup file into an existing system configuration with the following options:

Replace existing ECM system configuration: Replace overwrites all existing data. You can use Import to decide whether you want to use the same or a different system ID.

Create a new ECM system configuration with a different system ID.

Things to know
You can also use the import and export function to copy an existing productive system in order to transport the productive system to your test system quickly and easily.
How to export the ECM system configuration

Go to edoc plugin ecm > Systems > Systems.

Select the relevant ECM system configurations that you want to export.

Click on System > Export in the menu bar.

Save the backup file EDD3OSystemParm.xml locally.
How to import the ECM system configuration

Go to edoc plugin ecm > Systems > Systems.

Click on System > Import in the menu bar.

Import the locally saved backup file EDD3OSystemParm.xml.
