Overview of the edoc NAV archivelink permission sets

There are a number of permission sets that are automatically installed with edoc NAV archivelink. You can use these default permission sets directly or adapt them to your needs.

Recommendation for role names:

To run Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central smoothly, each user must be a member of one of the following roles:

  • edoc archivelink user

  • edoc archivelink administrator

Users in the SUPER role do not require any additional role memberships.


You must add the following permission sets in your Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment after installing edoc NAV archivelink using the Package_ECM_PERMISSIONS.rapidstart file:

This permission set allows you to read, insert, edit and delete data in all edoc NAV archivelink tables.

Execution permission is also granted for all other edoc NAV archivelink objects.

EdocArchivelinkUser

edoc archivelink user

With this permission set, it is permitted to use the results of a configuration of edoc NAV archivelink to exchange data and documents between your ERP system and your ECM system. However, changing the data in the configuration tables is not permitted.

Execution permission is also granted for all other edoc NAV archivelink objects.

EdocArchivelinkExp

edoc archivelink export

This permission set allows you to read the Dynamics NAV configuration (such as tables, reports and fields) via API pages.

This permission set is required for the service users.

EdocArchivelinkImp

edoc archivelink import

With this permission set, it is permitted to transfer edoc archive service configuration to edoc NAV archivelink via API pages and to exchange archiving processes between edoc NAV archivelink and edoc archive service.

This permission set is required for the service users.
