You must configure a separate batch processing job so that an automated backup is created for the edoc archivelink configuration of your system.
By default, the retention period is 30 days. After 30 days, the backups are automatically deleted. You can adjust the retention period at any time.
You define how often the backup of your configuration is executed. The frequency depends on your context. If you change the configuration frequently, you can automate the backup several times a week.
Here's how
-
In the navigation bar, click on edoc archivelink > Periodic task > edoc configuration backup to configure the batch processing job.
-
Check in the Parameters section in the Retention period in days field whether the default value of 30 is correct or change the value if necessary.
-
Enter the following data in the Run in background section:
-
Activate the Batch processing function.
-
Enter the name edoc archivelink configuration backup in the Task description field. This name clearly identifies the batch processing task as a cleanup task.
-
If required, enter the group that you have defined for the global batch under Batch group. If you have not defined your own group, select the Empty batch group entry.
-
Leave the Private and Critical job options deactivated.
-
Under Monitoring category, select the category that you have defined specifically for the configuration backup if required. If you have not defined your own category, select the entry Undefined.
-
-
Click on the Repeat link in the dialog and enter the data for running the global batch:
-
Enter the start date, start time, and time zone.
-
Activate No end date so that the global batch is executed endlessly.
-
Activate Recurrence pattern > Weeks and enter 1 as the number, select a day of the week so that the global batch is executed once a week on the selected day of the week.
-
Click on OK.
-
-
Click OK to complete the configuration
The batch processing job is now performed automatically.
