edoc D365 BC archivelink Version 4.0.0

With this release, the software has been completely overhauled and placed on a new technological basis. edoc archivelink now consists of a compact interface in the ERP system and a new web service on the edoc platform system environment: edoc archive service. With the help of edoc archive service, you perform your configuration in a new, clearer and tidier user interface. Most of the business logic is now done in edoc archive service instead of in the ERP system.

With this release only new installations are possible

You can only use this release for new installations.

New features, customizations and features no longer included

In the course of the retread not all functions from version 3.5 or earlier were adopted. The following functions are currently not available or have been adapted compared to the previous version:

New system requirements

edoc archivelink is now based on the new edoc archive service web service. The product is available as Software-as-a-Service or for on-premises hosting. The service must be installed on the edoc platform system environment in addition to the extension in the ERP system.


Newly designed user interface for configuration

You configure e.g. the connection data, system mapping, processes and field mapping centrally in edoc archive service. The user interface guides you step-by-step through the configuration like a wizard. During configuration, there is a lookup function for ERP tables, pages, reports and fields. Queries are also sent for the ECM categories and ECM fields during configuration. Thus, you need much less knowledge about the structures of the respective ERP systems during setup.


Support for asynchronous processing does not yet exist

Currently, all processes are processed synchronously by edoc archive service. Support for asynchronous processing is not yet included in the new version. This function is currently being planned.


Support for attribute updates during data synchronization does not yet exist

The attribute update function for data synchronization (files, dossiers, lists) is already being planned.

Support for barcode documents does not yet exist

Support for barcode documents is not included in this version. The function is already being planned.
