You have already configured a company optimally. You want to create another company based on the existing configuration, but you need to change or remove some settings. You can export the optimally configured settings of the company to a JSON file and import them as a template for a new company.
The exported configuration settings include the data that you can find on the following pages under Settings for a company:
-
Overview page: All data except the company abbreviation, the name and the accounting ID.
-
Invoice Reader (edoc) page: All data.
-
Data page: All data.
-
Workflow page: All data.
-
Capture form page: All data except the cost center managers.
When exporting the JSON file, however, the company-specific settings and data are not transferred, e.g. passwords for database connections. You must add the company-specific settings to the locally saved JSON file.
Here's how
-
Click on edoc invoice in the sidebar to open the edoc invoice dashboard.
-
Click on Settings to open the overview of global settings and company settings.
-
Open the company that you want to use as a template.
-
Select Export template in the ribbon.
The JSON file is saved locally on your PC.
If you edit the content of the JSON file, you must retain the file format and the JSON-typical data structure of the JSON export.
Information on importing the JSON export template can be found here: Create a new company using a template
