For example, you want to find the associated documents for a sales order or a purchase order in your ECM system and process the process further.
The search from the Dynamics 365 process is configured administratively. By default, the names and numbers of customers, vendors, documents and company names are used as search criteria.
Depending on which "search destinations” your administration has configured in the edoc plugin ecm plug-in, you can jump directly from the Dynamics 365 process to the process file or display the document.
The display options are also defined administratively. The following options may be available to you:

New tab in the browser window.

Dialog that appears above the active process so that you can continue working directly in the ECM web client.
