How does archiving documents from attachments work?

The archiving of documents from attachments in edoc archive service was designed to archive the additional documents from business transactions by attaching the document to the business transaction in the ECM system. The documents are indexed using the data from the business transactions in the ECM system.

After configuring a process type with the Archive documents from attachments action, all documents from the ERP attachments are archived and indexed from this point on.

The archiving process is used for those business transactions in the ERP table that were specified in the process type. The data for the documents is extracted from the ERP table and used for indexing in the ECM system.
