Document processing with the drop zone in edoc archive service is designed to archive additional documents from business transactions that are dropped into the ECM system via the edoc drop zone integrated in the ERP system. The documents are indexed using the data from the business transactions in the ECM system.
After configuring a process type with the Process documents from drop zone action, a drop zone that was specified in the process type is displayed on the page in the ERP system from this point onwards. Your users can now drop documents onto the edoc drop zone to archive the documents. The data for the documents is retrieved via the ERP table specified in the process type and used for keywording in the ECM system.
