How does the execution of data synchronization for records work?

Data synchronizations in edoc archive service were designed to archive data from business transactions without a document in the ECM system. In the ECM system, such data is usually used to generate data collections such as files or lists.

After configuring a process type with the Execute data synchronization for record action, all new records and data changes are archived in the ECM system from this point on.

The archiving process is applied to those transactions in the ERP table that were specified in the process type. However, the record is only archived if fields have been filled or changed in the ERP table that you have specified in the field mapping of the process type under Content of the data source.
