By duplicating an existing company, you transfer the complete configuration data.
The duplicated configuration settings include the data that you can find on the following pages under Settings for a company:
-
Overview page: All data except the company abbreviation, the name and the accounting ID.
-
Invoice Reader (edoc) page: All data.
-
Data page: All data.
-
Workflow page: All data.
-
Capture form page: All data except the cost center managers.
However, company-specific settings and data are not transferred when duplicating, e.g. passwords for database connections.
Here's how
-
Click on edoc invoice in the sidebar to open the edoc invoice dashboard.

-
Full name: Enter the full name of the company. This name is displayed in the various forms and dialogs.
-
-
Click on Save in the ribbon.
In the overview under Settings, you will find the new company under Company settings.
Translate organization-specific fields
If you duplicate a company and have translated organization-specific fields, the following happens:
If you copy a company, the individual settings for the header fields and line item columns are also copied to the new company.
If you have translated organization-specific fields in other languages, the same translations are displayed in the new company as in the original company.
If you change the translations in the original company, the changes are also displayed in the copied company.
If you change header fields or line item columns in the copied company, the fields and columns receive their own IDs (unique translation key), which also contain the current company name. If the fields and columns have their own IDs, you can enter company-specific translations in edoc language service.
