Regardless of whether you prefer to receive a notification after the reminder date has expired or a preventive reminder before the reminder date expires, important deadlines will no longer go unnoticed.
With the option Advanced settings > Set conditions for escalation, you can define at least one recipient and one date when creating a reminder or in a reminder template to automatically send an e-mail notification to this person or to a group. You specify a certain number of days and can determine whether the e-mail notification should be sent this number of days before or after the actual reminder date.
Defined default recipients and number of days until escalation
For an escalation, your administrator can specify that certain people or groups already exist as predefined recipients of a reminder and the number of days until the escalation.
When creating a reminder with an escalation notification, the recipients and the number of days are entered automatically. You cannot remove the predefined recipients of an escalation notification or change the number of days until escalation. It is possible to add more recipients.
The e-mail notifications are sent to the recipients as individual e-mails with the corresponding task. If you have specified a group as a recipient, all members of the group will receive the escalation notification.
This feature allows you to keep track of critical deadlines and ensure that all important tasks are always observed.
