Important requirements

You must have administrative access to SharePoint Online and have owner rights to create a site.

Solution

First go to the website on which you want to add a new web page. Then proceed as follows:

  1. Click on the gear icon for Settings on the page you are on.

  2. Click on Add page. In the tour wizard, decide whether you need help creating a website or skip the tour.

  3. Under Templates, click on the default template Empty to create a new website.

  4. Be sure to enter a meaningful name for your new website.

The new website has been created.
