How do I copy a process type?

In edoc archive service, you can copy individual process types in combination with their field mappings within a system mapping. In this way, you can quickly create similar process types in the configuration.

By copying functioning process types, you can shorten the configuration steps and reduce the probability of configuration errors occurring.

So that you can distinguish the copied process types from other process types, the name of the process type is supplemented by the suffix - copy and a consecutive number. When finalizing the copied process type, change the name to match your naming convention.

To copy a process type, you need at least one process type.

Here's how

  1. Go to the edoc platform system environment and open the administration of edoc archive service in the browser.

  2. Navigate to Map systems and process types > Configure process types.

  3. For the process type you want to copy, click on More actions > Copy process type.

  4. In the copied process type, edit all details that must apply to the new process type, e.g. the name of the process type, the page ID, etc.

  5. Save the changes for the process type.

  6. Activate the process type.
