In edoc archive service, you can import a system mapping that has already been exported as a JSON file. Thus, you can, for example, import a prepared test configuration for productive use or use a configuration for other similar system mappings.
You can import a system mapping as often as you like under different names.
To import a system mapping, you need to export the configuration of a system mapping: How do I export a system mapping?
Here's how
-
Go to the edoc platform system environment and open the administration of edoc archive service in the browser.
-
Navigate to Map systems and process types > Import system mapping.
-
Select the JSON file of the system mapping that you want to import.
-
Select one of the following options for the system mapping to be imported:
-
Select Import the name from the JSON file if you want to adopt the name of the system mapping.
-
Select Specify a new name if you want to give the system mapping a new name. Enter the new name under Enter the name of the system mapping.
-
-
Select one of the following options for the ERP connection:
-
Select Import ERP connection from the JSON file if you want to use the ERP connection contained in the JSON file (configuration export).
-
Select Select existing ERP connection if you want to use an ERP connection that you have already configured under Administration > Configure ERP connections. Under Select ERP connection, select the corresponding connection.
-
-
Select one of the following options for the ECM connection:
-
Select Import ECM connection from the JSON file if you want to use the ECM connection contained in the JSON file (configuration export).
-
Select Select existing ECM connection if you want to use an ECM connection that you have already configured under Administration > Configure ECM connections. Under Select ECM connection, select the corresponding connection.
-
-
Click on Import to complete the process.
The system mapping is now imported with all process types and field mapping, taking your selection into account.
After importing the configuration
If you have imported an ERP connection or an ECM connection, you must make adjustments under Administration > Configure ERP connections and/or under Administration > Configure ECM connections.
For security reasons, connection secrets are not exported. Enter the connection secrets again.
The imported system mapping is deactivated during import for security reasons.
If you want to use the system mapping, do the following:
-
Make sure that the connections have been set up correctly.
-
Make sure that the contents of the process types and field mappings match the connections of the system mapping.
-
Activate the system mapping.
-
Transfer the configuration to the ERP system.
