Map the property groups to the ECM categories

For a better overview, you can configure the display of properties in edoc contract. The properties are mapped to individual property groups and thus grouped thematically for your users in the detailed view.

Existing thematic groups:

  • Basic contract information

  • Time-related information

By mapping them to the thematic property groups, you also decide which properties are displayed in edoc contract.

Preparatory steps for displaying the context actions

To ensure that the context action for displaying the contract properties is visible to users in d.3one, you must configure the integration in advance.

The steps are described: Establish a connection and configuring context actions for d.velop documents (on-premises and cloud)

To map the property groups to the ECM categories

Things to know

You must always configure the visibility of the properties in the respective property groups first. Only once you have configured the visibility you can map the ECM categories in the next step.

Suppose you want to add a new category and define the visibility of the property groups and properties.

Here's how

  1. Open the administration by clicking on Administration in the edoc workplace app drawer (9-dot menu) in the edoc contract section.

  2. Click on Configure mapping for categories.

  3. Click on Add category to add a category (document type or dossier (file) type) of the ECM system.

  4. Select the category you want to add. Depending on the ECM system, you may only see the categories to which the user specified in the data sources has access.

  5. Click on Add to insert the category.

  6. Use the slider under Show contract notes to determine whether the contract notes should be visible in the contract control for this category.

  7. Click on Map property groups to display the properties of a property group in the ECM category.

  8. Activate the Map property groups to the ECM category slider for the property group whose properties are to be displayed in the ECM category.

  9. Click on Configure property group to configure the visibility of the available properties.

  10. In the list of the property group, activate the property that is to be displayed in the ECM category.

Tip

With Activate all properties or Deactivate all properties, you can select all properties and activate or deactivate them with one click.

Once you have defined the visibility of the properties, the properties that can be displayed are available to you when configuring the mapping.

For details about mapping the ECM categories see: (v26.1.1-en) Configure the mappings for the ECM categories

If you no longer want to display a property in edoc contract, deactivate the Show property slider. If you have already mapped the property to an ECM property in the field mapping, the field mapping is also removed. When deactivating, you receive a message that the field mapping for the ECM category will be removed. Once you have confirmed the action, the field mapping for the current ECM category is removed and the field is hidden for the users.
