Summary

You cannot open the scan module in d.capture batch by double-clicking on the module. However, you can start the index and batch manager modules. However, after you have created a new batch in the batch manager module and want to open this batch, opening the batch also fails.

You have already run all processes as an administrator without success.

Important requirements

  • Access to the dcConfig.ini file in the d.capture batch directory with write permissions.

Solution

The Fast scanning option has probably been activated in the scan module under Options. Depending on the scan driver, this option can lead to undesirable behavior.

You must overwrite the switch in the configuration file so that you can open the scan module again.

In d.capture batch version 3.4.0 or higher, you can deactivate the option for fast scanning (FastScan) in the dcConfig.ini file with the following configuration switch:

[dcScan]
DisableFastScan=1

The Fast scanning option is therefore deactivated.
