Summary
After you have updated d.ecs rendition service, you must also update the printers.
You will receive the following message when updating the printers:
Updating Printers
Delete PDF printer d.PDF-1 (redirected 2)
Delete pdf Printer d.PDF-1 (redirected 2) Result: False
Failed to update printers---> The printer update could not be performed successfully!
Even removing the printers under Windows does not lead to any success. Restarting the server does not lead to any change in behavior.
The error indicates that the HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS driver required for d.ecs rendition service is missing from the Windows driver database.
Important requirements
You need administrative access to the d.ecs rendition service server.
Solution
By default, the HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS driver is installed in Windows. In some cases, however, you may need to install the driver manually. You can find the driver in the installation directory under d.ecs rendition service\tools\driver - HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS.
After you have installed the driver, create the printer.
