I cannot open the scan module in d.capture batch

Summary

After a new installation of d.capture batch, you cannot open batches that are in the Scan position. This is usually the case if the DATEV application has been updated, which uses the same GdPicture.Net.14 DLLs.

Important requirements

You need administrative permissions on the computer on which d.capture batch was installed.

Solution

The problem can be solved in the dcConfig.ini configuration file by deactivating the Fast scanning (if available).

  1. Close all windows of d.capture batch and exit d.capture batch.

  2. Navigate to the configuration file dcConfig.ini and open it in a text editor. The configuration file is usually located under C:\d3\d.capture\Config.

  3. Check whether the [dcScan] section exists. If the section does not exist, use the text editor to enter [dcScan] at the end of the dcConfig.ini file that is already open.

  4. Add the parameter DisableFastScan=1 under the heading [dcScan].

  5. Save the configuration file dcConfig.ini.

  6. Start d.capture batch.
