You can import an app that you have created and exported in edoc automate into another edoc automate instance, for example, or restore a backup to your current edoc automate instance.
If you want to import the app into the same edoc automate instance and the app has multiple versions, you can decide when importing whether you want to overwrite the version of the existing app or create a new version of the app.
If you have entered a password when exporting the app, you must enter this password when importing.
When importing the app, you only have the options available that were defined when exporting the app.
Here's how
-
Click on Import App in the app overview (start page) to open the import dialog.
-
Click on Select App to select the locally saved app file (*.eax).
-
If required, activate or deactivate the options Tasks, Flows, Web Services, Assets, or Overwrite variables under Include.
-
Under Datasource parameters, select how you want to handle the parameters:
-
Use Clear credentials to clear the credentials of the data source during import.
-
With Use parameter from import-file you use the parameters in the import file.
-
With Use Parameter from current activated version, you use the parameters of the currently activated version.
-
-
Use the Task status parameter to specify whether the tasks created in the app should be started after import (Start) or not started (Stopped).
-
Enter the password for the app under Security if the app is protected by a password.
-
Select the appropriate mode for you under Version: Overwrite or Create new version.
-
Click on Import.
The import process can take a while depending on the size of the app.
