Summary

Find out which ports you have to release during the initial setup of d.velop documents (on-premises, local installation) so that the components can communicate smoothly.

In addition, some d.velop applications, such as d.capture batch or d.3 smart explorer, also require you to release ports on the client computer.

Important requirements

To release the ports, you need administrative permissions on the client computer and server.

Make sure that the shared ports are not overwritten by global profiles (e.g. group policies).

Solution

Which ports need to be released is usually communicated by the corresponding software manufacturer. In addition, there are certain constellations for which you must also open ports:

  • Ports for central components

In the d.velop portal you will find a list of ports for d.velop documents components. You can find the list with the standard ports of the d.velop software if you search the Internet for the keywords "Overview of the default ports, processes and services of d.velop software ".   • Ports for Microsoft SQL Server

You must open the following ports in connection with d.velop components for SQL Server:
